The top part of the expert mode interface is what we call your "operating area".
The operating area is where you set the parameters to open new trades. For example, if you were to click on "Open Trade" on the panel above, you would be buying EUR/USD at the rate of 1.3158, for the amount of $400 with a leverage of 1:50 and a stop loss order set at minus $200.
The first step to setting up a trade is choosing the currency pair you wish to trade in the live rates box. Once you've selected your currency pair the buy and sell rates for the pair will appear on the "Buy" and "Sell" buttons respectively. You must choose whether to buy or sell your chosen currency pair before moving on to the next step of the set up.
Having chosen whether to buy or sell the currency pair, you will now have to set the risk level, or the leverage, and the amount you wish to trade. Note that with our platform you can trade forex in lots of 1000 and 10000 currency units, so the amounts you can trade depend on your selected leverage. The amount you chose to trade times the leverage equals the amount of currency units you're actually trading.
You then have the option of setting up trading orders such as Stop Loss, Take Profit, and Carry Trade Over Weekend. These are optional orders that you can also set or edit after having opened the trade. Note that the Carry Trade Over Weekend order is not always available, depending on the parameters you've set for the trade. Please view the Carry Trades Over Weekend section of this guide to learn the specific requirements.
Once you've set all your trade parameters, click on "Open Trade" to execute the trade. You will then get the following window, confirming all your trade parameters:
You must then click OK to open the trade or Cancel to reset your parameters.
Once the trade is opened, you will be able to view it in the Open Trades panel:
In this panel you can view the statistics for all your open trades. You can also manage your trading orders and view an interactive chart of your trading by clicking on the chart button. To close the trade, click on the "Close" button on the right.
